A: We have been asked more than a few times to explain who we sound like. From the beginning we knew that we don't fit any one mold.

WE SOUND LIKE US. The three of us and you all together. How could there ever be words to describe what GOD hears.

We have written many heavy rock songs as well as intimate worship songs. We play some secular songs from the likes of Collective Soul, Van Halen, Cheap Trick, and others, however we have changed the words so that they make it all about Jesus. We have soft acoustic type songs and some piano driven songs. Our music spans many types of music targeted for the sole purpose to worship God. Lately we have seen a change coming in our music and a definition forming about who we are.

It’s clear to us that while there are people and groups that share similar desires, we don’t sound like any one band or singer. While we will play songs from the likes of Chris Tomlin, Jeremy Camp, FFH, Big Daddy Weave, MercyMe, Casting Crowns, and many others we never try to sound like them and we don’t. We make each song a tool to bring about an intimate moment of worship between God and his worshipers. We recognize that people, sometimes, need to hear familiar songs in order to freely enter into worship. We take soft mellow songs and play them as deep and worshipfully as we can and bring them up in power and fullness as the spirits moves among us all. We are dynamic and fluid. We strive to have songs come to life by the power of God’s spirit for the purpose of worship. Like a living creation, the song is free to become what He wants to be at the time it is played. At this point it couldn’t matter less who we sound like, all of us who are in love with God, are worshiping and praising Him. So this is fulfillment of God’s calling on us, hence the name An Audience of One. We will continue to write, practice, play, and record all that God gives us as hard as we can so you will be able to see we sound like An Audience of One.
