Q: How much does An Audience of One Charge to play for our event?

A: We do not have a set price that we charge. In fact we have never charged anyone to have us play. We do need to pay for all the usual expenses like Gas, Tolls, wear, tear, and maintenance on our vans and equipment, and some times hotel stays. We do ask that you seek out God's will and provide us with nothing more or less than what you feel God is prompting you to do. Many times people offer us a dollar amount up front. Sometime we are told there will be an offering collected. Other times we are told there is nothing that can be supplied. We do not decide to play or not based on money.

We once drove from New York to Florida to play at a Christian Festival and received no money and no place to stay from the people who invited us. It would cost us a lot of money to go and we felt that God wanted us to go. We had saved some money but just before we were going to go our van's engine and transmission broke. But God provided a way for us repair the van and go and play. We haven't heard any thing more from the people we met there but the point is doing work for God not man. That is how our choices are made, not by money or fame.

If you are inviting us to play and it is profit event we would expect you would not ask us to play for free. Don't tempt us with promises of fame or by who will be there, it won't matter. Instead pray God would bring us together for His purpose!
