The Crisis Begins

…… can be done. Despite the fears form nearly every corner of our city, city officials insist that we are all perfectly safe provided we remain with the city.

Are the Israelites Crazy?

By Wallace Phalling, The Jericho Harold staff writer.

For weeks now, people of Jericho have been anxious about the rumored coming of the Israelites from the other side of the Jordan. Rumors of them having a god of great power and might on their side performing outrageous and often times grotesque ‘miracles’ giving them alleged over whelming victories only add to the hysteria and fear. We have heard many stories of missing goats and other crimes attributed to Israeli thieves and thugs. However, to date the only confirmed contact with any Israelis has come from Rahab, a local favorite lady of the night, who said two men came and left the same night while being pursued by our mighty military.

As we learn more of the nomadic tribe just out side our city’s walls, the less likely all the rumors and stories seem to be. We heard rumors that they crossed the river on dry ground while the waters of the Jordan piled up beside them. This may not be so unlikely to have happed, but was it a god or a well-constructed beaver damn? We do know that they constructed some sort of monument on this side of the Jordan. We have not been able to confirm that it is a memorial to crazy Israeli’s that were washed away while standing on the riverbed when the river started to flow again; perhaps when a beaver damn gave way.

Two anonymous sources inside the kings military say that after crossing the Jordan all the men cut off a portion of themselves that is attributed to males and that they have stayed at there camp until they healed. This re-enforces this the growing minority point of view that no matter how convincing the stories of a great Israeli god are, we know now that indeed that they must be just stories from a crazy group of nomads.

Un-Employment Crisis strikes Women Hardest.

Amanda Huggenkis, The Jericho Harold contributing writer.

After the admission that two Israeli men came to her house, Rahab has been one of many ladies of the night finding the Israeli threat has stymied the Jericho professional companionship industry. She claims that even though the Israeli spies were not customers, she has suffered a reputation that has driven even her regular clients away. While Rahab says that, she is happy to be out of the industry, many others are not and are having hard financial times. With out the support from husbands these women have come to rely on the……..
