…..even though food may be come scarce in the long term. The conservation programs in place will ensure plenty of food for the foreseeable future. Surely we will be fine as long as we have our wall.

Day Six of the Israeli March.

Today the residence of a locked down Jericho woke for a sixth straight day to news of the Israeli encampment marching towards or city. Just like the 5 days before it looks to be nearly an entire army leading the Israeli priest carrying a box around our city walls. Indeed the sight continues to be an eerie one as none of the men makes a single utterance, save for the horns blowing. In the six days they have marched around our city, they have brought nothing suitable to penetrate a wall half as mighty as ours as documented in previous articles where we have interviewed military experts. All the interviewed experts so far agree, we have nothing to fear from Israelites.

We have learned that their plan is to breach our wall with the sound of horns and shouts. Today we bring you an interview with Mr. Ditbetter the engineering architect who designed our city wall. Mr Ditbetter is a no nonsense man who prefers to be called by his first name, Bill.

TJH: "Bill Ditbetter, thank you for giving us this interview. When did you design our city wall, and can you describe its construction?"

Mr. Bill Ditbetter: "Sure, Firstly I did not design it. It’s been around for generations. My job is to engineer improvements and repairs. I’ve got to say, it’s the finest wall I have ever seen. Its very tall nearly 15 feet tall and up to 12’ thick. It’s made out of mud bricks on top of a very robust Cyclopean stone foundation. So as any one that has ever visited Jericho knows, it is very tall and very strong."

TJH: "Has the wall ever been tested or inspected?"

Mr. Bill Ditbetter: "Oh, we inspect it all the time. And as far as testing, well nature does a good job of that for us. Remember a few years back when we had the big flood? Well, all the houses and shops outside the wall were swept away, but the wall saved our city."

TJH: "Is it possible that this army could destroy our wall?"

Mr. Bill Ditbetter: "How could they? They are mere men."

TJH: "So nothing to their plan then to take down our wall with horns and shouts?"

Mr. Bill Ditbetter: "Well it is like you said Mr Phalling last week when you said they are cazy? Listen, it’s plain to see there brains are very small to think shouting, (laughs) will be knocking down our wall."

So there you have it, for six days now we have seen that the Israeli’s are crazy and incapable of breaching our wall. Some say that their god is powerful, well Jericho has gods too. In fact, they have only one! Israeli’s are crazy. Just like every other day, tomorrow they could come for a seventh day and march seven times around our wall, but she isn’t going to fall.

The popular trend in Jericho of trepidation and panic about the Israeli’s out side our gates has out weighed the more rational approach of asking what did we do to make them incensed? If only the present administration would try to understand their point of view and stop enacting policies that suggest superciliousness, we could use our superior intellect to reason with anyone and achieve peace……
